JCVD sou eu: João Campos do Vale Dourado.
I grew up in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and now live in Brooklyn, NY. I moved to the U.S. in 2017 to study International Relations, and although I never became a diplomat, I now think of myself as a bridge between Brazil and the world.
Over the past eight years, I’ve touched fashion and design from every angle, always with a focus on cultural exchange. I first entered the industry by managing corporate social responsibility at India’s largest garment manufacturer, and later went on to work as an innovation consultant and as a model. I’ve spent the last 5 years helping U.S. multinationals achieve B Corp Certification, working with clients like Patagonia and Carhartt to learn what makes a company truly sustainable. I've honed my communications skills by hosting events in major gatherings including NYFW, NY Climate Week, COP 30 and Art Basel Miami Beach. Now, I'm partnering with premium, sustainable material producers in Brazil to make wholesale sourcing easier to brands in NY and beyond.
I know that my background pulls from many different threads — Impact Director is the only description I've found that ties it all together. In 2025, I started JCVD as an expression of my unique experiences, skills, and point of view. My services blend creative and commercial strategy, and my vision relies on creating real connections between the two places I call home.
